Match Preview Maurizio Sarri can become the first Chelsea boss to remain unbeaten in his first 10 Premier League matches in charge if they avoid defeat at Turf Moor on Sunday.Despite being appointed relatively late in the summer, Sarri has wasted no time in imprinting his ‘Sarriball’ style of play on the Blues. The result is a fine opening to the campaign that has seen the London club keep pace with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table.Much of Chelsea’s good play has centred on Eden Hazard, with the Belgian scoring eight goals and setting up a further three in 11 appearances so far. It’s little wonder therefore that the club are giving the 27-year-old as much time as possible to prove his fitness. If Hazard does miss out then the focus is likely to switch to misfiring strikers Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud. The pair have scored just three goals between them this season, though Sarri insists he has no concerns about their form. For Burnley it is yet another daunting fixture after their humbling at the Etihad Stadium last week. After the highs of last season’s seventh place finish, the Clarets have found life much tougher this time around. Their participation in the Europa League qualifiers looked to have taken its toll on the squad in the early weeks of the campaign, with the side only securing their first league win at the end of September. The Lancashire club currently sit in 13th place but are just three points outside the relegation zone. Manager Sean Dyche feels his players need to find greater consistency if they are to return to the levels that made them such tough team to beat last campaign.“We’ve shown in the past and on numerous occasions that we can earn wins off these teams,” said Dyche.“It’s just that statistically it’s more difficult, but there is a badge of honour when you take points off these teams.“The main thing is reminding the players about the level of our performance and how important that is. Performances over a season will pay you back and we’ve been a bit up and down with that – even during games – so consistency is what we are looking for and we’re getting back towards that.” Check out Goal’s Premier League 2019-20 fantasy football podcast for game tips, debate and rivalries.
