Please note that anyone intending to play this year must register this Saturday, if they have not already done so. Anyone who is not registered will not be permitted to train or play for insurance purposes. Any queries regarding same, contact Anne Forde on 086 8342449.There will be a General Meeting this Thursday, March 12th in the Clubhouse. This meeting is open to all club members and starts at 7pm. Well done and thank you to everyone who volunteered on Sunday for the Donegal v Monaghan game from stewards to shop and bar workers, programme sellers and everyone else who contributed in any way to make the day so successful. As usual, Vincent and his team had the grounds in excellent condition. Thanks also to all our sponsors who gave so generously to assist in preparations for last weekend’s events.Thanks also to Niall and his team who worked so hard to get the Clubhouse ready in time for the game. A huge amount of work has been put in by many people and they have all contributed to producing a facility that every member of the club can be extremely proud of.Congratulations to Eamonn Doherty who was on the Donegal starting XV again on Sunday, a proud day for the Club.The grand re-opening of the Clubhouse will be on St. Patrick’s Day as we host a day of Celebration and Culture with local artists. The event will also mark the end of Seachtain na Gaeilge. The timetable of events for the day is as follows: Doors open 1.30pmAll Ireland Club Finals live on TV.Music form 6 to 8pm.Traditional music/Oíche Ghaelach from 8pm to 12pm featuring singers, dancers musicians and comedy.Official opening ceremony on the evening will be performed by Club stalwart Mr. Adrian Shields. Entry to this event is free and everyone is welcome to come along and anyone who wishes to perform on the evening will be most welcome.For more information or if any musicians etc. want to join in, please contact Fergus McGee on 086 8544445.Preparations are continuing for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Our parade committee have put in a huge effort in preparing our entry so please come out and support. Anyone intending to march with the Club is asked to meet at Tobin’s on the Port Road at 1pm on St. Patrick’s Day ahead of the parade.Please remember to maintain your support for the Topaz Cash for Clubs initiative by stamping the St. Eunan’s Card in Tobin’s Topaz or by collecting stamps from any other Topaz outlet when you refuel by €40 or more.
