Belison hands out emergency cash assistance to residents

Residents of Belison, Antique who did not receive emergency financial aid from the national government avail themselves of the cash assistance provided by the local government unit on July 8. Mayor Christopher Piccio said P5,000 is the ceiling amount of the financial assistance. Residents who live alone received P1,500 while households composed of two persons got P2,000; three persons, P3,000; four persons, P4,000; and five persons, P5,000.“P5,000 is the ceiling amount of the emergency cash assistance,” Piccio said.The financial assistance was released by the Municipal Treasurer’s Office (MTO) to the beneficiaries of 11 barangays at the municipal gymnasium.The MTO is also doing house-to-house releasing of the cash aid for those who could not come to their office.
